Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Trust

Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Trust ( JNST ), under leadership and guidance of Mr. Vikram Kaul, founding President, was established in the year 1984 under the nomenclature – Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Committee. In 1996, it was restructured as the Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Trust ( JNST ).

Since its inception, JNST has worked towards inclusion and empowerment of youth, both boys and girls, and their communities, through the medium of Sports. JNST has had the privilege of supporting and helping Multi-Sport organisations, especially in Cricket, by organising Tournaments, Student Exchange Programs, Tours etc., globally.

JNST has also facilitated the establishment of Centres of Excellence in Sports and Education, for both private and government bodies, in India, Dubai, Kenya, England etc.

Besides, JNST has run various rural development projects / camps, for more than a decade, on Agriculture, Blood donation, Pollution and Pest Control, Sports festival, Tree plantation, Adult Education, Eye donation, Cultural programme for National Integration, Vocational training centre for women, UNICEF programme for establishing Health Centres, Rural Youth Sports Programme etc.

Widely travelled, well versed with the Commonwealth and its issues, and steeped in sports. Vikram Kaul aims to educate the dynamic youth of the Commonwealth states for their development. This through his favourite pastime—sports. He has been instrumental in starting cricket in countries like Canada , Kenya , Singapore and Malaysia. He trained the teams and organised teams and their events. His contribution to cricket in Dubai as an Honorary Secretary of the Dubai Cricket Council has been of primary importance to the country.
